Private  Pilot.

A Private Pilot License is one of the most popular and rewarding ratings in aviation. It allows you to fly an aircraft for personal travel, recreation, and building flight experience.

As a Private Pilot, you can fly friends and family, travel to new destinations, and experience the freedom of aviation. While private pilots cannot be paid to fly, they can share operating expenses with passengers and enjoy many of the privileges that come with being a licensed pilot.

At Vess Aviation, we provide personalized instruction to guide you through every step of the process — from your first flight to your checkride — helping you build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to become a safe and capable pilot.

Career Pilot Guidance

The Private Pilot License is the first major step in becoming a pilot. Whether your goal is to pursue aviation as a professional career or simply enjoy flying as a hobby, this certificate is where the journey begins.

Eligibility?

  • Be at least 17 years old to receive the certificate

  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

  • Hold at least a Third-Class FAA Medical Certificate

  • Complete the required flight and ground training

  • Pass the FAA written knowledge test and practical checkride

Students may begin flight training before turning 17, but must meet the age requirement before the certificate can be issued.
