Eligibility?

Be at least 17 years old to receive the certificate

Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English

Hold at least a Third-Class FAA Medical Certificate

Complete the required flight and ground training

Pass the FAA written knowledge test and practical checkride
Students may begin flight training before turning 17, but must meet the age requirement before the certificate can be issued.
